Can I change my subscription

You may add features or upgrade your subscription at any time.  The additional features or upgrade will take effect once payment has cleared.  At this point, you will be able to access your upgraded service.

If you have a monthly subscription to the Services, we require 30 days’ notice in order to remove any service from your subscription. At the end of that notice period and on your next billing date, the requested change will take effect. Where you have an annual subscription, the requested downgrade or cancellation will take effect on the next billing date.

This is the date on which you pay your first subscription fee. This date will be used for regular billing periods. For example, if the first billing date is 3 June and you are on a monthly subscription, subsequent payments will be taken on the 3rd of each following month.

SelfieWealth is a FCA-authorised robo-advisory, offering pure Artificial Intelligence (“AI”) driven investment advisory services to professional investors.  In contrast to other advisors, our focus is on providing timely, unbiased investment recommendations that are generated by our proprietary algorithms that have been developed over 4 years using AI to enhance potential returns.

No. We are currently unable to execute trades on our client’s behalf, we are exploring partnerships with trading partners.

Our self-learning robo-interface, “ Alphie TM ”, works with you to understand your investment style and can propose investment ideas and forecasts for your portfolios and watchlists. The algorithm driving Alphie TM is based on time series prediction theory that is built into an artificial neural network. The accuracy of the robo-advice is crucial to the success of the platform, for this reason, Alphie TM is constantly re-calibrated and back-tested to make sure it can rapidly adjust to market phases and cycles in the best interest of our clients and subscribers. Alphie TM and the AI platform on which it operates have been under continual development since 2015.

Yes. SelfieWealth is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority in the UK.

The acceptance letter sets out the protections you lose as a retail investor, by electing to be treated as a professional client (FCA COBS 3.5.38) under MiFID II to use SelfieWealth Services and Products.

Yes.  You can sign the acceptance letter electronically using DocuSign or Adobe.  If you don’t have DocuSign or Adobe, you can print the acceptance letter, sign and upload via our secure portal as part of the registration process.

As a regulated company, and to protect against fraud and money laundering, SelfieWealth is required to collect certain documents to prove your identity. We need to collect an image of your ID document which includes either a passport, driver’s licence or residence permit. You can upload these documents via our secure online portal.

Our current pricing source is close of business, previous day. We are exploring additional data sources to allow us to deliver near time data for free to our client community. This will allow us to introduce even more functionality and more indicators onto the platform. Watch this space.

Glossary

Alphie produces forecasts for three different investment horizons: 15, 30 and 90 calendar days.  On any given day Alphie produces forecasts for the end-of-day price 15, 30, and 90 days ahead.

“Target price” is the price forecasted by Alphie for the corresponding investment horizon.

Alphie is based on a complex machine learning platform which takes market-based information, such as prices, volumes, volatility as input. Forecasts are produced on a given day based on end-of-day market information that is available from the previous trading day.  In this respect, Alphie uses end-of-day prices and volume and does not utilize near-time or real-time high-frequency information.

Upside/downside means the percentage change in end-of-day prices that is forecasted by Alphie for a given investment horizon.

The Value-at-Risk is calculated using an historical simulation approach based on the daily realised returns over a given time span.  We calculate this to a 95% confidence level of the empirical distribution of daily realized returns over the last three months.

Alphie risk is calculated based on current within-day price variation and past historical volatility. Securities are then classified in three brackets based on their Alphie risk value, 1 is Low risk and 3 is considered High risk.

The  “Probability of Upside” represents Alphie’s estimate of the probability of a price increase over the next 30 days (ie if the probability of upside is lower than 50% means that Alphie is expecting a price decrease).

Current volatility is based on an historical estimate of realized volatility over the last three months.  This is consistent with the longest investment horizon for which Alphie produces forecasts.

It is the Alphie suggestion of whether it is taking a positive or negative view on a given day based on the forecasted price change for a security for the 30 calendar days ahead.

Payments

Yes. You may use your debit or credit card to pay for your SelfieWealth subscription via PayPal. In this instance, PayPal acts as a secure portal which you can use to enter your credit or debit card details. PayPal will then facilitate the transaction and payment. You will see the details on your debit/credit card statement as usual. There are no extra surcharges (in addition to what your service provider charges you) for paying using this mechanism. If you choose to take out an annual subscription, you may pay via a bank transfer.

Security

Yes. SelfieWealth has been awarded an IASME certification after an extensive tech audit conducted by independent auditors. We also passed the FCA’s technology audit as part of our registration and authorisation process.

For legitimate interests, we may share your personal data with our service providers, sub-contractors and agents that we may appoint to perform functions on our behalf and in accordance with our instructions, including Know Your Client solution providers, payment providers, IT service providers, accountants, auditors and lawyers. We shall provide our service providers, sub-contractors and agents only the personal data they need to provide the service for us and if we stop using their services, we shall request that they delete your personal data or make it anonymous within their systems. We may also share personal data you provide to us with your employer.

Subject to the provisions of our Privacy Policy, we will retain personal data in accordance with applicable laws. We shall retain your personal data for as long as you have access or use our online services. However, we may also be required to retain personal data for a period to comply with legal, auditory or statutory requirements, including requirements of HMRC in respect of financial documents.

As an advisory only service, SelfieWealth does not manage or take deposits from its clients.

Some or all your personal data may be stored or transferred outside of the European Economic Area (the EEA) for any reason, including for example, if our email server is in a country outside the EEA or if any of our service providers are based outside of the EEA. Where your personal data is transferred outside the EEA, it will only be transferred to countries that have been identified as providing adequate protection for EEA data or to a third party where we have approved transfer mechanisms in place to protect your personal data – i.e., by entering into the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses, or by ensuring the entity is Privacy Shield certified (for transfers to US-based third parties).
